BATTLE LAKE The ice went out last Friday, but the water remains cool. The panfish bite has been limited to mainly sunfish in the shallows of Stalker Lake, Hancock Lake, Rush Lake, and South Turtle Lake. Once the water warms the bays, Clitherall Lake, Bass Lake, and Blanche Lake should give up crappies.
