<description>&#60;p&#62;BEMIDJI AREA The small lakes are open and the big lakes only had floating ice early in the week. By this weekend, the area should be ice-free.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;The crappies have yet to be found in shallow water, but look to the bays on Rabideau Lake, Midge Lake, and Hennepin Lake to be the first spots that produce panfish.
